Rude Rich & The High Notes
Rude Rich & The High Notes are a Dutch ska, rocksteady and reggae group from the Netherlands. They form in 1998 and write and play their own material while aiming for an authentic Jamaican sound rooted in traditional ska, rocksteady and reggae.
Releases and collaborations
The group’s albums include The Right Track, Change The Mood and Soul Stomp. They also issue compilations and live recordings with Jamaican ska figures including Derrick Morgan and Rico Rodriguez.
Reception
The band receive critical acclaim in the Netherlands and internationally, and their live performances build a reputation for playing authentic ska. They are often compared with Hepcat, The Slackers, The Toasters and The Internationals.
