RSD

RSD is the dubstep project of Rob Smith, a dub producer from Bristol. He also records under the names Smith & Mighty, More Rockers, Blue & Red and RSD.

Background

Rob Smith works in dubstep and has received critical acclaim for his productions. RSD is one of his aliases for releasing dubstep records.

Other act using the name

RSD is also the name of a separate band that starts in 1999 with Matt on lead guitar and vocals, Trevor D. on rhythm guitar, Sean on bass and Trevor M. on drums. That group later pauses, then restarts in 2004 with line-up changes that bring in Jon C and Sasha. Jon C. moves to bass, leaving the band as a three-piece punk group. After one show in early 2005, the band adds a horn section, with Vincent S. on trumpet and Mark on trombone. Later in 2005, Derek joins on tenor saxophone, and the band continues playing regular shows in the San Francisco Bay Area.
