Roscoe is the recording name of David Williams, a US rapper from Philadelphia who is associated with west coast hip hop. He is born in 1983 and is also described as a West Coast rapper from Hawthorne, California. He is the younger brother of Kurupt, a member of Tha Dogg Pound.

Early life and entry into rap

Roscoe is introduced to the rap industry by Kurupt. He is 10 when he flies to California to watch his brother record for Tha Dogg Pound’s debut album Dogg Food. He is 15 when he raps on his first track, and he begins developing his skills by spending time with Kurupt on the road and in the studio.

Recording career

Roscoe debuts on Kurupt’s Tha Streetz Iz A Mutha. Producer Daz notices him there and helps him assemble his first mixtape, When the Pain Inflict, which appears in 2001.

He signs to Priority for his debut album, Young Roscoe Philaphornia. The album is recorded with producers including Organized Noize, Soopafly and DJ Quik. It is scheduled for release in 2002 and later issues in mid-2003.

His second album, I Luv Cali, appears in 2006.
