Romans

Romans is a one-off Hello! Project group formed in August 2003 and based on the television show Sexy Onna Jyuku. The group uses a pronunciation similar to “romance” and has a mature, sexy theme. It is an R&B-influenced act with both singing and rapping sections, similar in format to 7AIR.

Line-up

The group’s members are Yaguchi Mari and Ishikawa Rika from Morning Musume, Kimura Ayaka from Coconuts Musume, Satoda Mai from Country Musume, and Saito Hitomi from Melon Kinenbi. The vocal parts are handled by Mari, Rika and Mai, while Ayaka and Hitomi perform the rap sections. Rika is the youngest member of the group.

Release

Romans releases one single in 2003: “SEXY NIGHT～忘れられない彼～” (“SEXY NIGHT ~Wasurerarenai Kare~”). The song also appears on the Pucchi Best 4 compilation, and its promotional video appears on the companion DVD issued the following year.
