Roll Deep

Roll Deep is a grime crew from the United Kingdom, based in East London. The group forms in 2002 and is led by Wiley. It includes a large and changing line-up of MCs and associated artists, with names connected to the collective including Tinchy Stryder and Dizzee Rascal.

Career

Roll Deep is one of the early groups associated with the urban music movement in the UK grime scene. Their debut album, In At The Deep End, comes out on Relentless Records in 2005. After being dropped from that label in 2006, the group releases Rules And Regulations in 2007 and Return Of The Big Money Sound in 2008 on their own label, Roll Deep Recordings.

Radio and chart success

The group has a regular slot on London pirate station Rinse FM. In 2010, two Roll Deep singles reach the top of the UK singles chart: “Good Times” and “Green Light.”
