Robert Dietz is a house and electronic DJ and producer from the Rhine-Main area in Germany. He grows out of the local club culture around Sven Väth, Robert Johnson in Offenbach, and the Frankfurt record shop Freebase Records, which is run by Dorian Paic and DJ Meat. His early musical development includes skate park culture, a borrowed Roland 303, a pair of Technics 1210 turntables, and a Playhouse mixtape by DJ Ata, whose label also releases Isolée’s beau mot plage.

Dietz begins with hip hop and the wider club-kid environment before moving into record-digging, early club DJ work in his hometown, and first production attempts on a home computer.
