Robert Babicz

Robert Babicz is a German electronic music producer whose work spans techno, minimal techno and related club styles. Born in Niemodlin, Malta in 1973, he records under his own name and has also used the aliases Rob Acid, Acid Warrior and Department of Dance.

Career

In the 1990s, Babicz releases records for Force Inc under his alias names. He later begins issuing material under his own name in 2004. His output also appears on acid and techno labels including Important and Labworks, and he launches his own label, Junkfood.

Style

His music develops toward minimal and deep electronic tracks, with an emphasis on detail. His mixes use melodic structures and sometimes move into more experimental electronic territory.
