Rivers & Robots

Rivers & Robots is a Manchester-based Christian worship group active since 2010. The group centres on Jonathan Ogden, a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, and also includes Caleb Choo, Philip Shibata and Nathan Stirling.

Its music combines indie and folk elements with electronic production, using strong melodies, harmonies and rhythms. The group describes its work as homemade worship music with an experimental and creative approach, and its songs remain focused on Jesus, with lyrics that often draw directly from the Bible.

Jonathan Ogden writes songs for the project and has been writing since 2007. Before releasing music under the Rivers & Robots name, he issues a self-titled EP as Maffiss. The project’s first album under the Rivers & Robots name is self-recorded in a home studio, as is its follow-up, Take Everything.
