Ringo Deathstarr

Ringo Deathstarr are a group formed in Beaumont, United States, and active since 2005. They are associated with indie pop, indie rock, noise pop and psychedelic pop, and are also described as a shoegaze band with links to dream pop and indie scenes. The group’s members are Daniel Coborn, Elliott Frazier, Alex Gehring, Dustin Gaudet and Renan McFarland.

Career

The band take influence from My Bloody Valentine, Fugazi, The Cure, The Smiths and The Velvet Underground, folding those references into a distinctive noise-heavy sound. They release their self-titled EP in 2007, then follow it with a run of singles and international touring that takes in both coasts of the United States as well as the UK and Japan.

Their debut full-length album, Colour Trip, appears in 2011 on Club AC30. It is followed by the EP collection Sparkler and the second album Mauve. In 2014 they release the God’s Dream EP in North America on Neon Sigh and Noyes. The group also builds a reputation for annual touring in the US and Japan.
