Riffs

Riffs are an Australian power pop group influenced by early punk and protopunk. Their sound draws especially on the Sex Pistols, with guitar work shaped by that influence, and also on Sham 69, the Dead Boys, Eddie and the Hot Rods, and The Velvet Underground.

The group records a tribute to the Dead Boys on the cover of “Dead End Dream”. It also includes a version of “Waiting for the Man” on Underground Kicks, reflecting its interest in the protopunk material that informs its style.
