Riddimtion

Riddimtion is a roots reggae and ragga sound system based in Sheffield, UK. It is a self-sufficient collective made up of people from different cultures and backgrounds, and it uses the different skills and experiences within the group to put on community-inspired events.

Line-up and approach

The current full-time members are Rootsfella, King David, Gigzi, Lil Cark and Early P. The wider Riddimtion family includes a large number of singers, MCs, musicians, producers and other creative people who have contributed over the years. The resident line-up changes over time, but the group’s focus on equal opportunity and understanding of difference remains central to its work.

Riddimtion’s events are described as having a positive and peaceful atmosphere.
