Rico Nasty, born Maria-Cecilia Simone Kelly, is a rapper, singer and songwriter from Largo, United States. Her work sits across alternative hip hop, east coast hip hop, rap rock, trap and trap metal, and she is also tagged with hardcore hip hop and hip hop.

Career

Rico Nasty begins self-releasing music while she is still in high school in 2014. She builds a local underground following through SoundCloud singles including “iCarly” and “Hey Arnold”, and by late 2017 she has released five solo mixtapes. She rises to wider attention in 2018 with singles such as “Smack a Bitch” and “Poppin”.

After gaining broader recognition, she signs to Atlantic Records and releases the mixtape Nasty in 2018. She follows this with Anger Management in 2019, a collaborative mixtape with long-time associate Kenny Beats. Her debut studio album, Nightmare Vacation, follows in 2020.
