Richard Keogh

Richard Keogh is a musician from the Midlands in the United Kingdom, born in 1966. He begins playing in the early 1980s and first forms the band Dark Edge, which builds a local following and tours Germany for more than a year. At one point, the band works with Horst Fascher, who manages the Star Club in Hamburg during the period of the Beatles.

KEO

After returning to England, Keogh forms KEO. The group releases Burning Need as a five-piece, then follows it with Elements and And She Cries as a trio, with Keogh on bass and vocals. In this format, the band’s sound is described as combining U2 and The Police.

Solo work

Keogh later works as a solo artist and moves towards acoustic singer-songwriter material. His solo catalogue includes Songs of the Spirit, To the Sky, Through Mists of Time, Alive and Dreamcatcher, all of which remain available through Angelman. Local concerts help support sales of this growing body of folk, pop and roots songs.

Later release

His music later reaches Sevan Sevan Records, an independent label, which issues Waking Dream on iTunes.
