Rian Peters

Rian Peters is a singer, songwriter and dancer from the United States. He begins performing at the age of three and works across vocals, songwriting and dance, with training in street, tap and contemporary styles. He also works as a backing dancer for major artists and as a backing singer for Leona Lewis, Estelle, Lauryn Hill and Michael McDonald.

Early performance and influences

Peters starts performing very young and cites Michael Jackson as his main inspiration. His background combines singing and dance, and he presents himself as an all-round entertainer.

Songwriting and production work

He works with Grammy Award-winning producers Simon Climie and Stargate, co-writing and co-producing four songs with them in New York. Peters also writes Side by Side for Terri Walker’s third studio album, and works with producer Brian West, who has produced charting singles for Nelly Furtado.

Own material

Peters develops his own songs and describes his sound as industrial, new wave and pop. He plans a first promo single titled Getaway, featuring grime artist Wiley, and he has an album of original songs.

Live performances

He performs at venues and events in London including the Bedford Club, I Luv Live, Cobden Club and Cordless Show, and his live sets lead to repeat bookings and return performances.
