Rhemi

Rhemi is a house music production partnership formed in 2013 by Neil Pierce and Ziggy Funk. The pair come together after being introduced by their mutual friend Sy Sez and begin working in the studio, where they find a strong musical connection and decide to form the act. Rhemi also operates as a label, Rhemi Music, with an aim of issuing house music that crosses genre boundaries.

Members and background

Neil Pierce and Ziggy Funk both have established careers before forming Rhemi. Ziggy Funk releases tracks such as ‘Everyday’ on Foliage Records and ‘What You Afraid Of’ on Quantize Recordings, with both tracks featuring Taliwa and reaching number one on Traxsource. Neil Pierce is associated with founding Hustle Music, serving as a resident DJ and A&R at Soul Heaven, and working as one half of the production duo Fanatix.

Releases and collaborations

The duo’s first collaboration is ‘Friends’, featuring Kele Le Roc, and it gains a positive response. Rhemi also remixes material for DJ Spen, Sterling Ensemble, Marlon D and Booker T. Their recording work includes planned collaborations with DJ Spen, Terry Hunter, Sara Devine and Lynn Lockamy.

Label and style

Rhemi Music is presented as a platform for releasing house music without compromise. The project is rooted in house music and works across the style’s subgenres rather than following narrow categorisation.
