Rest

Rest are an instrumental rock group from Cork, Ireland, active since 2001. Their sound develops from post-rock into a wider mix of progressive rock, tech-metal, doom, black metal and math rock. It is marked by harmonised riffs, complex drum patterns, unusual song structures, strong dynamic shifts and alternating time signatures.

The group releases music on Limerick independent label Out on a Limb Records, with one album and one EP issued there. They also tour Ireland and the United Kingdom and share stages with acts including Isis, Cult of Luna, Oxbow, Baroness, Torche, Zu, Red Sparowes and Explosions in the Sky.
