Repulsive Vision are an old school death metal band from Barrow-in-Furness, England. Formed in late 2010, they operate as a four-piece group and are active from 2010 to the present.
Style and influences
The band plays death metal with an old school approach and draws on extreme metal acts including Obituary, Death, Carcass and Napalm Death. Their sound is described as aggressive, with punk-fuelled foundations and later material that develops greater speed, clarity and technicality.
Releases
Their debut album, Look Past The Gore and See The Art, appears on Mighty Music in 2017. In 2020 they release Necrovictology on Emanzipation Productions. That album is built by Matt Davidson on guitars, Dan McEwan on vocals, Mark Kirby on bass and Gary Young on drums, and includes guest appearances from Phil “LandPhil” Hall of Municipal Waste and Iron Reagan, Max Otero of Mercyless, and others.
Live activity
Repulsive Vision perform on the underground extreme metal circuit in mainland Europe and the United States. Their festival appearances include Hammerfest, Vagos Metal Fest, The Siege of Limerick, Las Vegas Death Fest and Goathell Metal Festival.
Recognition
The band receives positive coverage in publications worldwide, gathers a global fanbase and builds an online following, with more than 68,000 plays on Spotify.
