Renounced

Renounced are a UK metalcore band from London, active since 2013. The group is made up of Jack Bryant and Sammy Urwin, and has also included lead vocalist Daniel Gray and guitarists Sam Knight and Daniel Rayner. Sammy Urwin is also known for his work with Employed To Serve.

Releases

The band’s first release is the EP Conditioned From Birth, issued in 2013 on tape and self-released on CD, then reissued several times on tape, vinyl and CD by different labels. Their debut full-length, The Melancholy We Ache, follows in 2014, and Theories of Despair appears in 2016. Their full-length Beauty is a Destructive Angel is released in 2019.

Style

Renounced play melodic metalcore with a strong emphasis on both melody and aggression, in the tradition of late 1990s metalcore bands.
