Reeko

Reeko is the alias of Juan Rico, a Spanish techno DJ and producer born in 1981. He is from Oviedo, Spain, and is associated with dark, effective techno and experimental electronic music.

Career

He is described as a producer born in Asturias and based around the Spanish techno scene. His recordings appear on a range of labels including Emergence, Integrale, Deafmosaic, Rxxistance, Trece, Main Out and Recycled Sound. He also works with the artists behind Archae and Grovskopa, and plans further releases with them.

Label work and sound

Reeko runs his own label, Mental Disorder, which is distributed by Possible Music in Germany. His live performances are described as original and heavy, with a connection to the Birmingham sound. His work is tagged with techno, experimental, industrial techno, dark techno and electronic.
