Redd

Redd is a Turkish rock band from Istanbul, Türkiye. It forms in 1996 and is active from that point to the present. The band begins under the name Ten, founded by tenor opera singer Doğan Duru and guitarist Berke Hatipoğlu, before adopting the name Redd.

History

The group plays in bars in its early years before setting up its own studio in 2004. Its first album under the Redd name is 50/50, produced by Levent Büyük and released the following year. The first video clip is made for “Mutlu Olmak İçin”.

Redd’s second studio album, Kirli Suyunda Parıltılar, is released in 2006. The song “Falan Filan” enters the MTV World Music Charts at number ten. In 2007, the band releases its third album, Plastik Çiçekler ve Böcek, followed by 21 in 2009.
