Red London

Red London are a punk band from Sunderland, United Kingdom, active from 1981 to the present. They form in the early 1980s and are associated with Oi!, punk, punk rock, political lyrics and redskin politics. The group is influenced by The Clash, Billy Bragg, Angelic Upstarts, Red Alert and The Jam, and takes its name from a Sham 69 song.

The band’s debut album is This Is England, which appears in 1984. After that, Red London record eight albums and six EPs. The group disbands in 2002 and reunites again in 2019.

Known members include Tony Frater, Patrick Smith, Steve “Cast Iron” Smith, Kid Stoker, Stephen Straughan and Gaz Stuart.
