Recommended Daily Allowance are a London, UK group built around Robin Peel on guitar, Dan Gray on bass and Arthur Lea on keyboards. They also work with John Blease or Jon Scott on drums, Rory Simmons on trumpet, Jon Shenoy on tenor saxophone, Paloma Dyke on violin, and Sam Sherwood or Lizzy May on cello.

The group plays with a wide range of influences, including Steely Dan, Jeff Buckley, Jimi Hendrix, Sigur Rós, Coltrane, The Beatles, The Police, Spearhead, Talking Heads, Django Bates, Supertramp, Joni Mitchell, Simon and Garfunkel, Led Zeppelin and Field Music. They remain unsigned and receive occasional play on BBC Introducing.
