Reality Grid

Reality Grid is a UK psychedelic trance act associated with Brighton. It begins as a collaboration between two UK artists, EVP and Avalon, and later becomes the solo project of E.V.P, also known as Alex Diplock.

Project history

Diplock produces under the Reality Grid name after working for around 10 years in music production. He holds RSA sound engineering qualifications and works as a live act, DJ, A&R and 3D animator. The project releases three albums and tours in more than 30 countries, appearing both as a live act and as a DJ.

The first Reality Grid album establishes a fat, groovy and highly psychedelic sound with a high level of production quality. The project then moves quickly into the international festival circuit, with its first festival appearance taking place on the main stage at 2am on the closing night of Soulclipse festival in 2006.

Development and releases

After Avalon moves to Nano to work on his own album, Diplock continues the sound of the first Reality Grid release while increasing the production and energy level. He upgrades the studio, completes a second E.V.P album, and then starts work on a new Reality Grid album as a solo project. The project is linked with Wildthings Records.

Reality Grid is based in Brighton and remains available for bookings after a break from live dates.
