Rainy

Rainy is a trance artist. The name is also used by a second act, a Korean duo that debuts in 2013.

One Rainy comes from west Wales and first performs in surf clubs, pubs and festivals with a band called Little Gaia. After moving to Bath in 2007, he forms Rainy and The Dust with a new lineup and takes the group onto the live circuit in the UK. The band appears at Glastonbury, supports Martin Taylor at Darvel, and becomes a regular presence on BBC Radio Bristol.

In 2011, Rainy wins a songwriting competition run through PRS magazine, which leads to studio time in London. His music is described through comparisons with G-Love, Dave Matthews, Paul Simon, and Crosby, Stills & Nash, and is presented as combining afro-Latin, rock, and reggae influences with positive lyrics and a laid-back style.
