Rachel Sermanni

Rachel Sermanni is a Scottish folk and indie folk singer-songwriter from Carrbridge, a village in the Scottish Highlands. Born in 1991, she performs both solo and with a regular group of musicians. That line-up includes Laura Wilkie, Siobhan Anderson and, at times, Louise Bichan, alongside Leo and Declan Forde and pianist Jennifer Austin.

Career

Sermanni performs in a stripped-back solo setting as well as with her ensemble. Her track “My Friend Fire” is recorded and produced by Ben of Mumford and Sons and appears on the first Communion compilation album. She also performs at Communion night at Notting Hill Arts Centre in London.

Collaborations and support slots

She supports a number of established artists, including Mumford & Sons on their Highlands & Islands tour, KT Tunstall, Newton Faulkner and John William Grant. She also performs duets with Newton Faulkner and John William Grant.
