Quivver (John Graham)

John Graham is a British music producer and DJ who works under the names Quivver and Space Manoeuvres, and who also uses the alias Skanna. He starts making music in the early 1990s, first releasing several darkside jungle and hardcore singles as Skanna.

Early releases and aliases

As Quivver, he releases the singles Saxy Lady and Twist & Shout on A&M Records Lt. UK, followed by Believe in Me on Perfecto Records. Under the same name, he later issues One Last Time and She Does on VC Recordings, a sublabel of Virgin Records. He also records as Stoneproof, with Everything's Not You reaching the UK chart.

Tilt and Space Manoeuvres

Graham becomes a member of Tilt with Parks & Wilson, and the production team has a top 20 hit with Invisible. He leaves Tilt in 1999 to focus on solo work. With Lea Kenny under the Space Manoeuvres name, he releases Stage One on Hooj Choons, a track that reaches the UK chart. The follow-up Space Manoeuvres release Pluto Disko appears the next year. Two Space Manoeuvres tracks include film dialogue: Part Three uses dialogue from Dark City spoken by Kiefer Sutherland, and Stage One includes dialogue from the trailer for Event Horizon.

DJ work, label and albums

In 2001, Graham becomes a resident DJ at Twilo and releases Transport 5, the fifth instalment in the Tranceport series, on Kinetic Records. He founds Boz Boz Recordings in 2003 as part of Trust the DJ Records. Boz Boz then releases Space Manoeuvres Part 3 under the Quivver name in 2004. The following year, he releases his first album, Oid, as Space Manoeuvres on Lost Language. Later releases include the Space Manoeuvres compilation Factoid and the Quivver release Dirty Nails & Vapour Trails on Boz Boz.
