Quanta

Quanta is a United Kingdom electronic artist associated with downtempo, dubstep, dub, psydub and experimental sounds. Born in Newtown, Wales, he has been making music for more than 18 years and plays bass, keyboards and guitar.

Music and releases

His work appears on labels including Hustle Recordings, Whoop! Records, Dirtyblue Records and Cuba Recordings. He also releases music through Enig'matik Records, Dubmission Records and Addictech Records. His style combines worldwide influences with down-tempo, glitchy, psychedelic and chilled-out dub, and it is influenced by artists and labels including interchill, TwistedMusic, bluetech and ott.

Akasha Experience

Since 2010, Quanta has worked on the project Akasha Experience with co-producer Babak Rezvani in a studio in Cornwall. Under that name, they release music on Freespirit Records, Dubmission Records and Audio Aashram.

Another artist called Quanta is a DJ from the Blue Mountains in Australia who plays dubstep, UK garage/funky and grime and appears on the BluFM radio show Surrounded By Silence. A third Quanta is a band that begins in Morgantown, West Virginia in the early 2000s.
