QFX

QFX are a Scottish dance act from the Scottish Borders in the United Kingdom. The group is active from 1994 and centres on Kirk Turnbull.

Releases and chart success

Their first album, Freedom, appears in 1994 and enters the UK Independent Chart at number 5, remaining in the Top 20 for 14 weeks. In 1996, they record a version of Moby’s Every Time You Touch Me with vocalist Heather Allan, who previously sings with Ultra-Sonic. The track reaches number 22 and gives the act its first UK Top 40 hit.

Work as remixers and label

QFX also remix material for other artists, including Gala’s Freed From Desire. They are signed to Big Life Records and continue to record and perform.
