Barcelona progressive metal band

Pyramid is a Spanish progressive metal band from Barcelona, formed in 1998. The group is made up of Javier Céspedes, Manu Gonzalez, Roger Guardia, Santi Leal and Tony Vallés. Their music is described as progressive metal with frequent rhythm changes and sections where the musicians improvise, drawing influence from Dream Theater and heavy metal bands from the early 1990s.

Albums and activity

The band releases a self-titled debut album in 1998, followed by The Immaculate Lie in 2000. Their third album, Gaudi’s Legacy, appears in 2002 and is a concept album inspired by the Spanish architect Antonio Gaudí. After that release, the band splits up.
