Pye Corner Audio

Pye Corner Audio is the solo project of British producer Martin Jenkins, who is based in the United Kingdom. Jenkins also uses the name Pye Corner Audio Transcription Services and describes himself online as the “Head Technician.”

The project works with a sound that draws on radiophonic and library music, sometimes with post-punk elements. It is associated with ambient, ambient techno, deep house, electro and electronica, and is also linked with hauntology, experimental electronic music and ambient textures.

Its recordings and presentation often use worn, vintage-feeling audio and visual treatment. Track titles and artwork frequently refer to analogue recording media and hardware.

Pye Corner Audio appears in mixes and live DJ sets alongside other hauntology-related artists, including people connected with Ghost Box Records and Moon Wiring Club.
