Pusha T is the stage name of Terrence Thornton, a US rapper, songwriter and record executive from The Bronx. He is best known as one-half of the hip hop duo Clipse, alongside his older brother No Malice. Clipse is mainly active from 1994 to 2010 and releases three studio albums and several mixtapes. Its best-known singles include “Grindin'” and “When the Last Time”, both from 2002.

Career

Pusha T signs to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint in 2010, under Def Jam Recordings. Later that year, he appears on West’s single “Runaway”, which reaches number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100. He releases his first solo project, the mixtape Fear of God, in 2011, followed by his debut solo album, My Name Is My Name, in 2013.

In 2015, West appoints him president of G.O.O.D. Music. He remains a key artist for the label until his tenure ends in 2022.

His solo album discography includes King Push – Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude, Daytona and It’s Almost Dry. These albums receive widespread critical acclaim, and It’s Almost Dry is his first number-one debut on the Billboard 200.
