Purple

Purple is an electronic artist from the United States. He is originally from Portugal and is first introduced to the scene through Terrain Ahead, an electronic collective and label he founds with other Portuguese artists IVVVO and Trikk. His work sits across grime, ambient, chillout, atmospheric synth and witch house.

Career

Purple self-releases his debut record Violence in 2011. The release draws interest from figures in the electronic music scene, including Los Angeles producer Shlohmo. After initial conversations, Purple becomes an official member of Shlohmo’s Los Angeles-based label and crew WeDidIt.

He releases his first record for WeDidIt, Salvation, in 2013. He later issues Silence & Remorse in 2015. He also releases the EP Purple and the single Pain Killers in 2011.
