Punks Jump Up

Punks Jump Up are an electronic group from London made up of Joe Attard and Swedish musician David Andersson. Their sound moves between punk-funk and speed garage, shaped by influences they associate with The Clash, 909 drum machines, Nike trainers and Stussy rings.

Remixing and releases

They are best known for remix work for Gossip, Digitalism, and Peter Bjorn and John. Their releases include Be You on Cassette and Dance To Our Disco on Kitsuné, which features Pelle Almqvist from The Hives.

Cassette label

Punks Jump Up also run the Cassette label, which issues 12-inch releases by Simian Mobile Disco, Springmine Disaster, Sci-Fi-Skane, Meat Boys and Elektrofant. They also keep an album project under wraps, with the material described as being revised as their style develops.
