PSYMMETRIX

PSYMMETRIX is a psychedelic trance project from the United Kingdom, active since 2004. The group consists of Alastair Crowther and Richie Elmes.

Formation and members

Alastair Crowther works as half of Dirty Saffi and Project Sketch, while Richie Elmes records as Asimilon. The two producers begin working together in winter 2004/05 and soon develop a live set that they debut at the Liquid Futures New Year’s Eve party.

Releases and collaborations

The project releases its first album, Twin Headed Monster, on Bom Shanka Music in 2007. Before that album, PSYMMETRIX appears on releases from Doof, Wildthings, Peak, Phar Psyde, Free Radicals and Looney Moon. The group then finishes a collaboration album, Psymmetrix and Other Animals, which includes appearances from Ajja, Rev, Spyrallus, Parasense, Samadhi, Illegal Machines, Tron, Dirty Saffi and Konflux.

Live activity

PSYMMETRIX builds its reputation through studio work and live performances, touring the project’s set in various countries and continents.
