Psychostick

Psychostick is an American comedy metal band from Tempe, Arizona. The group forms in 2000 and remains active. It is known for combining heavy metal and alternative metal with extreme humour, and the band describes its style as humour-core.

Line-up

The band includes Rob “Rawrb!” Kersey on lead vocals, Joshua “Joshy” Key on guitar and vocals, Alex “Shmalex” Dontre on drums and vocals, and Matty J. “Moose” on bass and vocals. Joshua Key is also listed as the band’s only verified member.

Releases

Psychostick releases a series of albums and EPs, including We Couldn't Think of a Title, The Flesh Eating Roller Skate Holiday Joyride, Sandwich, The Digital Appetizer, and Do. The group’s first album gains modest chart success in the United States, reaching No. 41 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart and No. 48 on the Top Independent Albums chart.

Touring and collaborations

The band begins national touring in 2006 and tours with Look What I Did, Screaming Mechanical Brain, Powerglove, Bobaflex, Indorphine, Green Jelly, Nashville Pussy, Mower, and Better Left Unsaid. The same members also perform in Evacuate Chicago, a separate project focused on more serious, non-comedy music.
