Prototypes

Prototypes are a French trio from Paris, formed in 2003 by Stéphane Bodin and François Marché, who come from Bosco, with singer and performer Bubble Star, identified as Isabelle Le Doussal. The group consists of Stéphane Bodin, François Marché and Isabelle Le Doussal, and remains active.

Style and sound

Their music combines elements of folk, 1960s pop and alternative indie rock with electronic textures. Sequencers and synthesizers are central to the group’s sound, alongside expressive vocals that are often compared with 1970s punk.

Albums

Prototypes release Tout le monde cherche quelque chose à faire in 2004, Mutants Médiatiques in 2005, and a self-titled album in 2006. The 2006 Prototypes release serves as a US edition drawn from tracks on their first two French albums. They also release Synthétique in 2008.
