Profound

Profound is an Amsterdam-based progressive rock band. The name is also used by several other acts in different genres, including a hardcore band from the late 1980s whose members later go on to form Manliftingbanner and Deadstoolpigeon, a Dutch gabber act from the 1990s that later becomes better known as Na-Goyah, an Austrian melodic death metal band, a California-based emcee, and a New Delhi-based electronic producer.

The Amsterdam group forms in 2001 and is described as a heavy rock band. The broader name also appears in hardcore, psytrance, straight edge, electronic, and youth crew contexts, reflecting the range of acts associated with it.
