Porches

Porches is a US synth-pop project from Pleasantville, United States, active since 2010. It is centred on singer, songwriter and musician Aaron Maine, who uses Porches as a solo alias, although the project also functions at times as a band. Other members include Greta Kline, Maya Laner and Seiya Jewell.

Porches develops a sound that draws on dream pop, indietronica and synth-pop, while the project’s early work also incorporates guitar- and drum-led indie rock and spaced-out electronic textures. Maine’s vocals are a notable part of the project’s identity, with a tense, yearning quality often described as a defining feature.

By 2024, Maine has released six albums under the Porches name, including one issued through Domino.
