Pony Pony Run Run is a French pop rock group from Angers, France, formed in 2003 and active since then. The band’s line-up is Antonin Pierre, Amaël Réchin Lê Ky-Huong and Gaëtan Réchin Lê Ky-Huong.

History

The group releases its first demo CD in 2004. Its debut album, You Need Pony Pony Run Run, follows in 2009 on the band’s own label, 3ème Bureau. The album includes the single “Hey You”.

Style and influences

Pony Pony Run Run is associated with pop rock, power pop, electronica, electro rock and electro. The band cites Weezer as a major influence, especially the album Pinkerton.

Live performance and line-up

In live shows, the band wears oversized sunglasses because of sensitivity to stage lighting. The line-up changes over time, with one guitarist leaving in 2008 and the drummer leaving in 2009. The group also tours in France and Germany.
