Polen

Polen is a project name used by more than one act. One version is an electro-rock band from Buenos Aires, Argentina, active from 2004, with a live sound built around loud guitars and synthesizers. Its line-up includes Pol Goz on lead vocals, guitar and synth, Ivana Lapolla on bass guitar and drums, Carla Nastri on programming and synth, Sebastian Reinholz on drums and bass guitar, and Ivan Flugelman on visuals. This group releases material independently and has two free-distribution EPs, Metamorphy and Compressor.

Another Polen is a four-piece art project with members Pablo Gomez on guitar and vocals, Maxi Urrutia on guitar, Pablo Mateu on bass, and Sebastián Reinholz on drums. It is presented as an artistic collaboration shaped by an unnamed fifth figure who communicates through a medium, and the group keeps that person’s identity private. The band describes its music in terms of chaos, abstraction and strong visual imagery, with guitars, heavy rhythms and a prominent vocal line.
