Pola Rise

Pola Rise is a Polish electronic and alternative pop group active since 2014. The act centres on a composer, vocalist and lyricist, and its sound sits between electropop and alternative music.

Style and early release

The project is associated with artists such as Bjork, Lykke Li and Banks. Its first album, Anywhere But Here, appears in 2018 and draws on experiences from travel, with references to New York, London, Copenhagen, Berlin, Dublin, Torino, Seoul, Reykjavik and Oslo. The record reflects a blend of electropop and alternative approaches.

Collaborations and live work

Pola Rise works with producers from different countries, including ROBOT KOCH, NECTOR collective, LOXE, EMIJI, MANOID and JANEK PĘCZAK. These collaborations contribute to the group’s varied sound. On tour, Pola Rise and the band play more than 150 shows in Poland and abroad.

Recognition

The group is nominated for the Fryderyk Award as Best New Artist for 2019, and places third in SANKI 2018, described as the Polish version of BBC Sound of, for best newcomer artist of the year.
