Plant43

Plant43 is the electro project of Emile Facey, a UK producer based in London. He first becomes interested in electro after hearing Kraftwerk in the early 1980s and later begins using the Plant43 name for his own music. In 1998 he gets involved in promoting electro events in London, which leads into his work as a musician and organiser.

Releases and style

Plant43’s first vinyl release arrives in 2006 on Ai Records. He later releases a series of 12-inch records and the album Burning Decay in 2010. His music also appears on Semantica Records, AC Records (acidlab.de), Bleep43 Recordings and Cultivated Electronics. His sound is described as sinewy electro, with a strong influence from Drexciya.

Other work

Alongside music, Emile Facey works as a graphic designer. He also co-founds bleep43.com, a site focused on promoting and reviewing electronic music. Since 2003, the London-based Bleep43 parties have featured him playing live with artists including ERP, DJ Stingray, Surgeon, $tinkworx, Microthol and Urban Tribe.
