Planes
Planes is a UK indie pop band from London, active from 2011, with Steve Forrest and Edwin Harris listed as the members. The project is associated with Placebo drummer Steve Forrest, who leads on vocals, guitars and percussion. Other line-up members connected with the project are Dan Sayer on vocals and bass, Char O’Lette on vocals, violin and keys, Ted Brunning on vocals and guitars, and Ed Harris on drums, formerly of The Holloways.
Releases and style
The band’s debut EP is released in November. The project is also described alongside glitch-hop, electronic, wonk hop, ambient and glitch hop tags, although the group itself is identified as an indie pop band.
Other artists using the name
The name Planes is also used by three other acts: the alias of Richard Bultitude, associated with squashed, wonk-hop-style electronic releases; a duo from Bogotá, Colombia, formed in 2009 and known for the album Electrocumbias a 5mil; and a 1974 experimental ambient electronic duo made up of Gregor Curten and Anselm Rogmans.
