Planas

Planas is the production alias of Toby Davies, a producer, instrumentalist and label manager at Ranking Records. He works in electronic music and is associated with dubstep, atmospheric dubstep, UK garage and bass music.

Projects and aliases

Alongside the Planas name, Davies records hip hop under Tarqwin Smythe and dub under the name Landlord. He also plays bass in Gentleman's Dub Club and in the hip hop band the uber.

Collaborations and label work

Davies collaborates regularly with other Ranking Records artists including Ruckspin, Quark, Quantum Soul and Evergreen. His role at the label is part of his wider work as a producer and instrumentalist.
