Pity Sex
Pity Sex are an American indie rock and emo band from Ann Arbor, United States. Formed in 2011, they make music that combines indie rock, shoegaze, dream pop and noise rock, and they are also associated with shoegaze, emo, post-punk and lo-fi.
The band releases two studio albums: Feast of Love and White Hot Moon. Before their split, those albums establish their recorded output as a compact catalogue within alternative rock. They are also described by Pitchfork as “post-coital pop-punk”.
The group announces a reunion in 2022 as part of the Sound & Fury festival line-up, and remains active.
