Pink Turns Blue are a Berlin-based alternative rock, gothic rock and post-punk group active from 1986 to the present. The band forms in the mid-1980s and becomes associated with darkwave as that style develops. Their early sound combines new wave elements, synthesiser-led arrangements and darker undertones.
History
Pink Turns Blue first release If Two Worlds Kiss soon after formation. Before that album, Thomas Elbern leaves the group to form Escape With Romeo. The band later splits in 1995. In 2003, it reforms to play a number of festivals.
Recordings and songs
The group releases the best-of album Re-Union after its reunion, followed by the studio album Phoenix in 2005. Its later studio album is The AERDT - Untold Stories. Songs associated with the band include Michelle, Walking On Both Sides, Your Master Is Calling, The First, I Coldly Stare Out, Touch The Skies, Catholic Sunday, Missing You, If Two Worlds Kiss, Moon and Seven Years.
