Physics is a Swedish house duo from Malmö, made up of Mikael Surdi and Torbjörn Olsson. Active from 2000, the group works in deep house and related electronic styles, and is also tagged with drum and bass, chillout and house.

Style and approach

The duo is associated with a blend of house beats and deep, jazzy grooves. Their work combines live and programmed elements, with an emphasis on creating music that works both in the club and in more relaxed listening settings.

The name Physics is also used by other acts, including an American post-rock group from San Diego, a drum and bass producer and DJ from Helsinki, and a noise project.
