Phase Reverse

Phase Reverse are a Greek heavy rock group formed in October 2007, with roots in Greece and Berlin. The band begins as a trio when John, Alex and Tas meet at John’s recording studio and decide to work together. Their early sound combines blues, rock ’n’ roll, hard rock and heavy metal with American southern rock influences, which they describe as “Heavy Rock”.

Early releases and recognition

After a period of live activity, the band records 11 songs that mark the start of Phase Reverse. Their debut CD appears in December 2009. They also contribute the song “I Got Your Back” to STREETCULT CD #13, a compilation released by Eclipse Records and distributed in the United States.

In January 2010, Phase Reverse are selected from 1,500 indie artists worldwide for the Windows 7 music campaign “Playlist 7”, sponsored by Microsoft. In January 2011, they are included in AonMedia’s “Gods of Indie Guitar” compilation with the track “Cross to bear”.

Record deal and later line-up changes

In September 2011, Phase Reverse sign a multi-album deal with Aural Music, which plans a worldwide re-release of their debut album under the same title, with the bonus track “Tear Down the Walls”. This track is recorded during the original album sessions but is left off the first release because it is unfinished.

In September 2012, Tas leaves the band for personal reasons. Takis Mark joins on vocals and Kostas Dragon-K on bass, and the band continues working on new material in the studio for a second album while touring in Greece and Europe.
