PEDRO SAMPAIO

Pedro do Espirito Santo Sampaio is a Brazilian DJ, music producer and singer from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He works in funk, latin and pop, and his name is styled in all caps as PEDRO SAMPAIO.

Early life and start in music

Born in 1997, he begins playing percussion at 13, starting with a bucket before persuading his father to buy him instruments including a tambourine, repinique and timbal. A year later, Victor Junior discovers him while he is DJing at a party hosted by his father’s friend. He later joins Dennis DJ’s team at 17.

Career

He begins his artistic career in 2017 by posting YouTube videos of remixed versions of other artists’ songs. Those videos bring him wider attention online and lead to live performance work, with songs that he sings and produces himself. In December 2018, he signs to Warner Music Brasil. He then releases a run of hit songs including “ESCADA DO PRÉDIO”, which features Marina Sena, along with “Vai Menina” and “Sentadão”.
