Pecker

Pecker is the recording name of Raúl Aquilué Usieto, a musician from Huesca who moves to Barcelona in 2003. The act is associated with indie pop and Spanish indie pop, and also with dub and reggae influences.

Career

Pecker releases a debut album called 10 y 1 galaxia a year after moving to Barcelona. In 2006, he issues a second album, 2 y las nadadoras, which combines pop with electronic elements and also draws on funk, electro and hip hop. A third self-titled album, Pecker, follows later and presents a set of songs built around everyday language and pop expressionism.

Collaborations and related work

The name Pecker is also used for a Japanese jazz percussionist who records the collaborative reggae/dub album 21st Century Dub with Sly & Robbie, Augustus Pablo and Rico Rodriguez.
